[Atlantis WG] [Usage guidance] [Following Crops] [biopower] [Resistance management] [Sequences and tank mixes]
Acceptable levels of control of black-grass and ryegrass will only be achieved where Atlantis WG is applied as part of an overall weed control programme, at the optimum timing, and in tank-mix with an effective residual partner in the autumn, following an effective pre-emergence treatment delivering 240 g/ha of flufenacet, such as Liberator 0.6 L/ha.
The following gives guidance on appropriate herbicide programmes for grass weed control. Where feasible, cultural control methods should be integrated into any grass weed control programme. Resistance is becoming more widespread and so responsible stewardship is critical.

Black-grass
For black-grass, to achieve optimal levels of control, apply at the 1-3 leaf stage, when the majority of plants have emerged. However, if conditions dictate, Atlantis WG has the flexibility for application from 1 leaf to early tillering of the weed.
| Weed situation | Stage 1 | Stage 2 |
| Black-grass Low/sensitive population (<25 plants/m2) | Pre-emergence herbicide optional | At 1-3 leaf of black-grass apply Atlantis WG + biopower plus a herbicide containing pendimethalin (minimum 960 g/ha) or trifluralin (minimum 960 g/ha) |
Black-grass | Effective pre-emergence herbicide based on flufenacet (e.g. Liberator), pendimethalin, trifluralin or tri-allate | At 1-3 leaf of black-grass apply Atlantis WG + biopower plus a herbicide containing pendimethalin (minimum 960 g/ha) or trifluralin (minimum 960 g/ha) |
| Black-grass post-31st Jan (No further germination) | Effective pre- and/or postemergence non-ALS autumn herbicide programme based on flufenacet (e.g. Liberator), pendimethalin, trifluralin or tri-allate | At 1-3 leaf of black-grass apply Atlantis WG + biopower alone. ONLY use without a residual partner if NO further germination is anticipated |
Ryegrass
For ryegrass, apply Atlantis WG at 1-3 leaf up to early tillering. Due to the protracted germination period for ryegrass, where there is only a low population (<10 plants/m2) present in autumn, consider applying Atlantis WG later in the season when the majority has emerged.
However, where there is a particularly high ryegrass population (>10 plants/m2) present in the autumn, it may be appropriate to utilise the high level of foliar efficacy of Atlantis WG at the 1-3 leaf stage to reduce the autumn ryegrass population and early crop competition. In this situation late germinating ryegrass may require a follow-up treatment with a non-ALS herbicide in the spring.
It is important to note that grass weeds emerging after Atlantis WG application may not be controlled and a subsequent treatment may be required.
