Folicur is our multi-purpose product that controls yellow and brown rust and ear diseases in winter wheat, as well as being effective against light leaf spot and providing canopy management in oilseed rape.

Why Folicur?

In oilseed rape, Folicur gives cost-effective canopy manipulation, producing a deep and open canopy. This allows maximum seed-set and encourages even ripening. Not only does Folicur provide the best crop safety available, it also delivers more effective light leaf spot control than its competitors. In the absence of disease Folicur still produces increased yield and oil content.

For winter wheat, Folicur improves control of rust, especially brown rust. It works against a range of ear diseases, resulting in cleaner and brighter ears. By reducing ear blight, Folicur can lower grain mycotoxin levels and allows the production of cleaner, healthier seed in seed crops.

In both winter wheat and oilseed rape, Folicur’s patented formulation prevents clogging of filters and nozzles and improves uptake by crops.

Getting the best from Folicur

In oilseed rape use Folicur as a PGR spray during stem extension (green to yellow bud). Use at this time will increase light leaf spot and Sclerotinia control if used as part of an effective programme. Increased rates will be required in the case of more forward crops. For Sclerotinia control, treatment must be followed by an effective flowering spray.

In winter wheat, for rust and powdery mildew Folicur should be applied as soon as signs of the disease appear. For ear diseases, it should be applied between the start of flowering and mid-flowering.

Important things to remember

• Mix with Proline²⁷⁵ (prothioconazole) for treatment of Septoria and Fusarium in wheat and Phoma and LLS in oilseed rape.
• Do not tank-mix with Atlantis WG (mesosulfuron-methyl and iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium) or Pacifica (mesosulfuron-methyl and iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium).

Folicur as part of a programme

Use with other fungicides as part of a robust programme for Septoria control. Folicur can be used as a pre-treatment for Proline²⁷⁵.
