(Active substances: trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole)
Nativo 75WG is a protectant and curative fungicide providing you with broad-spectrum disease control for vegetable crops. Its combination of active substances delivers excellent disease control and boost in quality for brassicas, leeks and carrots.
Quality is the only driver for a successful crop with the main focus on visual quality. Nativo 75WG delivers this through the protection and strobilurin boost of trifloxystrobin, safely combined with the curative and protectant triazole properties of tebuconazole.
In brassicas it is recommended that the first application is applied before disease establishes in the crop (making use of disease forecasting systems as appropriate).
To control brassica leaf spot diseases (Alternaria species, Mycosphaerella brassicicola) or for curative activity, mixing with an approved sticker/wetter adjuvant may enhance the activity of Nativo 75WG.
Typically in carrots the first application should be made prior to canopy closure in June/July. This is particularly important for control of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum to ensure that all leaves are adequately protected as the micro-climate under the crop becomes optimal for ascospore release from soil germinating apothecia. To reduce Alternaria infection on the leaves, Nativo 75WG should be applied in early/mid August or when first signs of disease appear on the foliage after the five leaf stage if earlier.
In leeks the first application is recommended before disease establishes in the crop (making use of disease forecasting systems as appropriate). For control of leek rust or Alternaria porri, mixing with an approved sticker/wetter adjuvant may enhance the activity of Nativo 75WG.
An effective programme has three stages:
Clean start: ensure the best start possible with a clean crop. If any disease has already crept in, use a curative product to clean up. Otherwise maximise the clean leaf with strobilurin-based chemistry for protectant activity and greening/physiological benefits.
Build and protect quality: as the crop moves onto the second spray and beyond, supporting plant growth and development is the priority. Alternating chemistry is essential as part of good resistance management practice.
Secure quality: later in the season maintaining quality until harvest needs attention so that marketable yield and profits can be fully realised. Choosing the right products to prolong healthy appearance and react to late season infections is vital.
Remember to follow FRAC guidelines, especially for strobilurins (QoI) based formulations where only up to 50% of the programme may be made up of these.
