Leafshield works rapidly, coating the spray droplet with its complex adjuvant system in the fraction of a second between the spray droplet leaving the nozzle tip and reaching the leaf surface. Spray droplets are then able to stick to the leaf surface and quickly spread across to give remarkable crop coverage and help ensure mor effective disease control.

Once on the leaf surface, activator adjuvants in the leafshield formulation swell the waxy protective barrier on the leaf surface and allow bixafen and prothioconazole to quickly get into the leaf for rapid knock-down of established disease. Other components then help maintain the weatherproof surface reserviour of bixafen and prothioconazole which slowly drip-feed into the plant for long-lasting disease control and crop greening* benefits. Leafshield also synchronises uptake and movement of both active substances which is important for effective resistance management.
